Snowshoes are flying off the shelves at local outdoor stores, and I’m guessing many local hikers will be unwrapping shiny new snowshoes and poles for the holidays. I often hear that “if you can walk, you can snowshoe,” and the good news is, that’s true–it’s pretty easy, and great fun. As soon as I can dig out my snowshoes from my overstuffed storage closet I’ll be out there myself!
